What does my child need?

Understanding My Child — Free 5-Day Intensive Pilot
Their Needs. Their World. My Role.
Join our first 5-Day Intensive Pilot — Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026
An interactive parenting education programme designed to help parents understand children’s developmental, emotional and safety needs, look beyond behaviour, and strengthen reflective parenting.
Online, one hour daily. Free to join — limited places. Final session time will be confirmed based on registrants’ preferences.
Parenting brings questions. Sometimes, taking a step back helps us see what’s underneath — what our child needs, how they experience their world, and the role we play in it.
Understanding My Child is a structured parenting education programme. This first pilot brings it together in a five-day intensive format, with each day combining parent experience, discussion, professional knowledge and reflection.
A respectful space to explore, make connections and bring learning into everyday family life.
Each session builds on the last, moving from curiosity and understanding
towards thoughtful, practical action.
What does my child need?
The foundations that help children feel secure.
Making space for feelings and relationships.
Looking beyond behaviour with curiosity.
Revisit the seven-piece Child’s Needs Jigsaw, then action planning, final knowledge/application assessment and feedback.
Not a lecture. A conversation that makes room for your perspective.
Start with the real experiences parents bring.
Explore ideas and hear different perspectives.
Connect experience with child-centred understanding.
Consider what the learning means for your family.
Interactive scenarios and the Child’s Needs Jigsaw bring the conversations to life. On Day 5 we return to the seven-piece jigsaw from Day 1, then close with action planning, a final knowledge and application assessment, and feedback.
